Sunday Challenge

Ok, so I love Pinterest. I'm addicted to the food section. I am constantly pinning and trying to recreate what I see. I also love to bake. I usually only bake from about September until May because during the summer it is too hot to bake and we do not have A/C. But I look forward to the days that my house smells like sugar and baking goodness. Jarrod (the taster and husband) bought me a bread machine for our anniversary this last June and that has opened up another level of trying new things. So I have a challenge for myself. every Sunday I am going to recreate something on Pinterest. Yes I know this has been done before but what I am going to make sure that it succeeds. I will tweak and change the recipe to our tastes and likes. I know that I am not anywhere near being as good a baker as a lot of these very intelligent and talented bakers, but I do have a passion for it. I do love it. I will keep bettering my skills as I move forward. My ultimate goal is to make a cake that doesn't come from a box (one of the few things I do not make from scratch) Everything I make will be from scratch, Failures and success will be tracked until one victor stands. Me or the Oven. May the odds be ever in my flavor (Im a book geek as well...)
